A very interesting read Nav 1. And thanks for the photographs of actual road conditions. They are worth a thousand people telling you to drive to the conditions but not telling you what that means. I have followed the full series of your blogs and found them most informative. We plan to do much of this country over the next couple of years. Your blogs and those from John and Val are compulsory reading.

Yes I agree, a picture is worth a thousand words! We must remember that the road conditions vary each year depending on the amount of rain that has fallen, the amount of traffic on them and of course wether they have been graded. We were very lucky with excellent track conditions the whole way through apart from the Bore Track that had a few lumps, bumps and soft sand in one section.
The last blog for 2011 is coming up in a week and then the 2012 blogs will start lwhen we get back out onto the track.
